Barclays and ITC launch partnership to connect 10,000 women entrepreneurs to export markets
Barclays Bank of Kenya and the International Trade Centre (ITC) have today launched a partnership that seeks to equip 10,000 local women entrepreneurs with new skills and connect them to international trade opportunities by 2020. The CBI (Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries) is part of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. Established in 1971 in order to support producers / exporters to get a foothold on the market in the Netherlands, support to Business Support Organisations in improving their capabilities and to act as a Matchmaker between suppliers and buyers.
