The 2011 Kenya Trade Statistics
The 2011 Kenya Trade Statistics from CBIK database (from KRA) and data from  Economic Survey (Kenya National Bureau of Statistics 2012) indicate that the structure of export markets and products remain largely unchanged (especially Kenya’s top five export markets and top ten products).
The 2011 Kenya’s trade performance was mainly affected by rise of oil prices globally which led to increase in the import bill and the depreciation of the Kenya shilling. Overall, the balance of trade deficit rose from Kshs. 537.41 billion in 2010 to Kshs. 803.63 billion in 2011 (an increase of 49.7%)
