Calendar of Activities for 2012

The Calendar of Activities called the National Export Market Development Programme (NEMDP) is one of the components of the national export initiatives geared towards achievement of the set export targets with Export Promotion Council as the secretariat of the existing National Export Market Development panel, made up of organizations in both the public and private sector.

The 2012 NEMDP was developed by relevant stakeholders from both public and private sector, through extensive consultation, individual submissions, and panel discussions. The EPC working within the approved processes of the International Standards Organization (ISO 9001:2008) received submissions analyzed them and organized meetings where the activities were presented, discussed, prioritized and lead agencies identified to co-ordinate individual activities. The harmonized Export Market Development Programme reflects the country’s need to avoid duplication of efforts by different stakeholders in the implementation of the market development activities.
