A Grand Opportunity for Online Export Marketing
The Export Promotion Council (EPC) is inviting applications from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) countrywide that would like to benefit from phase IV of website development and hosting. The overall objective of this Programme is to facilitate increased Kenyan exports to the international markets through implementation of focused promotional activities and building business –to- business linkages between Kenyan exporters and importers. The assistance in website development is aimed at enabling SME enterprises to utilise the internet in marketing their products at the international markets.

To qualify for this support, the SME should meet the following requirements:-
  • Be a registered group/business entity serving the commercial interests of many individuals to ensure the spread of benefits to the larger community.
  • Be ready to cost share the expenses by paying Ksh 10,000 of the website development cost within two weeks after short-listing. The Council will pay the remaining over 80% of the cost.
  • Demonstrate ability to pay for website hosting after the expiry of the project’s offer.
  • Must be exporting or export ready.
  • Have an internet facility within reach.
  • Be computer literate, trainable and ready to attend training (either yourself or your employee) to learn how to access the Internet and utilise your new website for online marketing.
