COMMERCIAL PARTICIPATION AT EXPO 2012 YEOUSU, KOREA

 

Kenya is among the more than 100 Countries and International Organizations, which will participate at the World Exposition 2012 in Yeosu Korea to be held from May 12th through to 12th August 2012. Kenya will be showcasing her trade, investment and tourism products and investment opportunities.

 

The Export Promotion Council (EPC) in collaboration with relevant public and private sector institutions and the academia is coordinating Kenya’s preparations and participation at this World Exposition.

 

World Expositions are global forums for exchange of ideas and information that foster better understanding amongst the people of the world.

 

Kenya’s theme statement for the event is “Our Ocean and Coast: Yesterday’s Gateway of Tomorrow” which has been derived from the overall EXPO Yeosu theme, The Living Ocean and Coast: Diversity of Resources and Sustainable Activities.”

Kenyan companies in the sectors below who wish to market and penetrate the Korean Market and the South East Asia Market in general are invited to apply for consideration.  The event is expected to attract 8 Million visitors including consumers, retailers, wholesalers, and investors.

Participation Requirements:

Application forms can be obtained from any of the EPC offices indicated below or download from the EPC website. Duly Completed forms with all requisite documents must be returned on or before Thursday 15th September 2011 addressed to the Chief Executive. Successful companies will be expected to meet full cost of travel for their representatives, freighting of exhibits, accommodation and any other incidentals as well as pay a non refundable commitment fee to the EPC.
