Grand Training Opportunities for Exporters


The Export Promotion Council in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has organised five Export Trade Training Workshops for potential and new SME exporters to enhance their knowledge in exporting.

Target Participants:
The training is designed for SMEs who are aspiring to embark on exporting their goods or services and those who have just began exporting. Trade support institutions and trade associations involved in international trade; and consulting firms involved in providing export trade services to SMEs are also encouraged to attend. Previous participants of trade training under Phase I of the programme need not attend.

 Kakamega  1st to 3rd and 8th to 9th August 2011
 Meru  15th to 17th and 22nd to 23rd  August 2011
 Busia  29th to 31st August and 5th to 6th September 2011
 Naivasha  12th to 14th and 19th to 20th September 2011
 Thika  3rd to 5th and  10th to 11th October 2011
 Kericho  17th to 19th and  24th to 25th October 2011

Participation Details:
The training is a five days course (with a break in between) covering key basic details of the export process. Total payment for the five days is Kshs 2,500.00 per participant. Payments should be made at least five (5) days before the event by cash or bankers cheque to Export Promotion Council. The training venues will be communicated later.
Course materials will be provided. Certificates will be awarded to participants who attend the training for all five days and participate for a minimum of 80% of the time.

Please note that applications will be accepted on first-come-first- served basis only for targeted participants. Those who will not have confirmed (paid up) before the training will not be accepted.
