IRU discusses benefits of implementing TIR in Kenya
The IRU welcomed Ruth Mwaniki, CEO of Kenya’s Export Promotion Council (EPC), and EPC Policy Manager, Peter Ochieng, for a discussion on the implementation of TIR in Kenya. The IRU and EPC are working together to raise awareness among public and private stakeholders on the benefits of TIR in reducing costs and delays in international trade in Kenya and the East Africa region. The EPC welcomes the impact this would have on the competitiveness of Kenya’s exports. The IRU looks forward to continuing its partnership with the EPC and all stakeholders in Kenya and the wider region.
