Kenya Ready To Host The World’s Greatest Coffee Conference
The 12th African Fine Coffee Conference and Exhibition was officially launched at the Safari Park Hotel and Casino on 1st August 2014. Guests received coffee treats from AFCA member companies, and were further treated to documentaries on the and were further treated to documentaries on the Ethiopia’s 9th AFCC & E & Burundi’s 11th AFCC&E complete with interviews from show goers on the rewards of the conference. Dr Johnson Irungu who represented the Guest of Honour, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries,
joined the Kenyan Coffee fraternity in welcoming the coffee world to Kenya. He emphasized the Kenyan government commitment and support to the upcoming conference, as well as enhancing the coffee production in Kenya Other presentations and speeches came from Mr. Bagersh Abdullah (AFCA Board Chairman), Mr. Robert Nsibirwa (AFCA Board Vice Chairman), Ms. Isabella Nkonge (Coffee Board of Kenya), Mr. Samuel Kamau (AFCA Executive Director), Mr. Patrick Musyimi, HSC (Commissioner of Cooperative Development), and Dr Joseph Kimemia (AFCA Kenya Chapter Chairman). Kenya will host the 12th African Fine Coffee Conference and Exhibition (AFCC & E) in Nairobi at Safari Park Hotel and Casino from 12th ‐ 14th February 2015 under the theme: “PRODUCTIVITY – THE KEY TO SUSTAINABLE RESURGENCE OF THE AFRICAN  COFFEE INDUSTRY”

The first ever African Fine Coffee Conference and Exhibition was held in February 2004 in Nairobi, Kenya in an attempt to strengthen the producer – buyer relationships. Since then, the conference has grown immensely with over 900 attendees per day at the 11th
AFCC & E held in Bujumbura, Burundi. The conference provides a fantastic line up of internationally acclaimed speakers and a wonderful exhibition area vital to companies showcasing the finest coffees and affiliated services. The conference is Africa’s leading networking platform for gathering valuable coffee information, building trade relations and buyer and seller interaction.
