African Products Exhibition & Trade Mart, Yiwu China - 2013

The Export Promotion Council (EPC) in collaboration with relevant public and private sector institutions is coordinating Kenya’s preparations and participation at the Trade Mart in Yiwu, China whose aim is to market Kenya as a preferred destination for trade, tourism and investment.

In this regard, the Council is soliciting for private sector members to participate in the exhibition, scheduled from September 26th – December 28th, 2013. Interested companies are requested to apply for the event to be considered for participation and if selected they will be expected to pay a refundable commitment fee of Ksh 25,000 to EPC. Interested participants are also expected to meet their travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses as well as cost for freighting of exhibits.

Anticipated Benefits
• Diversify and expand both Kenya’s and participating firms’ market shares in China.
• Gauge the intensity of competition from other participating countries.
• Enhance brand and corporate image in the Chinese market.
• Identify business opportunities and establish agencies and distributorships for Kenyan products and strengthen already existing distributorship networks.
• Network with market players to develop an understanding of the market.
Participation Requirements
