Moroccan Airline Plans direct flights to Nairobi
Direct flights will soon be introduced between Nairobi and Casablanca, thanks to a trade agreement which was signed on Monday 24th June 2013 between Kenya and Morocco.
The direct connection will be one way of deepening trade between the two countries. Exports from Kenya to Morocco stood at KES 282.7 Million (2012) while imports were KES 312 Million (2012). Kenya’s main exports to Morocco included; textile fibres, fruits, vegetables and tea while imports were largely fertilizers, chemicals, food preparations and medicaments.
The direct flights will reduce the cost of transportation since the flights to Casablanca require a connection via Dubai or Europe.
